It’s Over for Internet Explorer 5 for the Mac

Image of IE 5 for Mac on TombstoneMicrosoft has “End-of-Lifed” Internet Explorer 5 for the Macintosh as of Tuesday, January 31, 2006.

When released in 2000, it became one of the more advanced browsers capable of rendering to the W3C standards (CSS Level 1, DOM, etc.) but once developed it never really received too much attention from Microsoft and when OS X grew and eventually went on to develop its own browser, the writing was pretty much on the wall for the future of IE 5 (IE 6 for Mac never seeing the light of day).

Apple Matters | Comic Life bundled with Intel Macs

I’ve been a huge fan (and registered owner) of Comic Life since its initial launch and mentioned its coolness when it came out. So it was great to hear that Apple has decided to include a copy of this unique and wonderful software on each new Intel-based Macs.

Congrats to the Plasq team who created Comic Life!
