Good Dawg
I'm very happy with the way this little illustration turned out. I used my favorite pencil in Procreate called the "Derwent." It's one of the default brushes that comes with Procreate and has lately been my go-to when I start an illustration in Procreate. If I want to capture the energy of the pencil line, I'll skip the inking part altogether and go straight to color as I did here.
I added color with the "MaxU Watercolor Detail" brush. This is part of the "MaxPack Watercolor Brush" set for Procreate. It adds a soft, translucent color that works best with my scratchy, energetic pencil lines.
Finally, I added some highlights using a Procreate brush called "Fat Pencil" from illustrator Mike Henry. It's a pencil brush like the Derwent; only it lays down color like a rich pigmented colored pencil.
